Patch plastic car bumper

Whether you are installing a new plastic car bumper or replacing an old one, you need an excellent, super-strong adhesive to help you. Otherwise, the bumper will fall off suddenly and create a whole new set of problems. While buying an adhesive for plastic car bumpers, you must keep one thing in mind — it should be specifically for car bumpers.

There are different types of adhesives for windows, interior parts, and exterior parts. These may not necessarily work for bumpers. Also, since bumpers may be made of different materials, you should particularly look at options that work well with plastic. Another important thing is to decide whether you need the seal to be permanent or temporary. Based on these two factors, you can make a choice. We have said it before, and we will say it again — 3M can never be ignored when we talk about adhesives.

The way that bumpers are designed now, it is meant to cause less damage to your own vehicle, as well as the other vehicle involved in a crash. The reason that bumpers are made of plastic is to soften the impact, and also to minimise repair costs should you drive your car into a static object or another vehicle. We at Dent Magic are here to assist with your plastic bumper repairs.

Our team will assess the damage and provide you with a quote. Should the damage be too severe too fix, we can assist with the replacement of the bumper. So, if you need plastic bumper repairs done in the Cape Town area, feel free to contact us for further details on how we can assist you!

After drying overnight, the fascia is ready to be reinstalled. Excellent article! As a semi-retired technical and 'how-to' writer I grind my teeth over the all-too-common confusing articles that get posted all over the Internet. The missed steps and poorly thought out or just lazy writing does little to follow a logical process.

It can be a real a noggin scratcher and the meaning of some articles never can come through. Granted, clear writing takes practice, but it's more a product of examination than education. Finally, someone who carefully examined his written process and insured the wording actually matched the steps regardless of who read it. Good Job! Quite refreshing. I'll fix my bumper now.
